Discuss: ASP.NET Web Layer

I admit I am a beginner; however I have had over 20 years of experience in client server environments. I have just started understanding web development. This is the best tool I have come across since I started a couple of month ago evaluating tools for our department. What I have found most annoying in all examples is lack of explanation when the document talks about the configuration file. Configuration and namespace are the two areas that have been the hardest for me to grasp. I generated my Nettier and stumbled through. Had I actually known which configuration the Blog was talking about I would have had it in less than 15 minutes. It would have been simple to say for example the configuration of the services project or of the services client project. Saying: your application or: nettier configuration is ambiguous; at least for me. This is an area that I would definitely try to help with documentation once I understand it. In this example (the web layer) I am confused again. I have the MyDemo.web Mydemo.website amongst others that nettiers created for me with the word web in it. I also read in your application??? Do you mean the project that I create to use nettiers generated data access in? or nettiers project itself? I have struggled to actually find out what I would use from nettiers if I just wanted to create a web site using the VS 2008, soap and any relevant part of my nettiers solution? Actually this section is one of the best in terms explaining the possibilities. I know that there is a lot more that I could use since I have generated 8 projects. There should be a tutorial that actually uses parts of nettiers solution without actually just a little add in project to the end of nettiers solution. If there are actually different tutorials that are available then they should be easier to find. I would appreciate any thing that any one can add to make it easier for beginners that actually understand development but the plumbing is what is slowing them down.
